Gatsby 2

1. The purpose of Meyer Wolfsheim is to make Gatsby seem suspicious. Meyer is a scary character whose wears teeth on his cuffs. He was the man the rigged the 1919 World Series, so clearly he is sketchy. Because he is friends with Gatsby, we think that maybe Gatsby has had some money involvment with this man.

2. This back story makes us realize who Gatsby and Daisy really are. We begin to think of Gatsby as a tragic hero because we start to feel bad for him. He loves Daisy and has gone to all of this trouble to be with her again, and it probably won't work. His past also make us mistrust him because we don;t know if what he is saying is true or not.

3. Our impressions change from a steady character to a conspicuous one. but at the same time, you can't help but feel bad for him because he is so hopelessly in love.

4. I went from not really knowing much about him, to not really trust him. He knows that if he has money, Daisy will come running back to him. He as good intentions, but does not carry them out in the right way. I cannot trust him at this point.
